And if a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it's as though I've neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. I know that the accident of my being a photographer has made my life possible.

Fashion photography has been a truly wonderful, happy accident for me. I say that because I assume the path from pre-med to mba to photographer is a road less traveled. But ever since getting my hands on my first SLR, I have known it is what I was meant to do.
My journey included more traditional stops as well: formal education in photography and post-production as well as geeking out at top conferences and seminars throughout the country.
I love, love, love fashion photography. I love photographs layered in depths of mood, introspection, intrigue and sensuality. I am moved by images that are felt more than they are looked at. And it is that level of emotional complexity that I try to bring to each and every photograph I take.
My personality behind the lens is a striking contrast to the intenseness of my work. I like to bring a light-hearted, calm and assuring approach that fosters close model-photographer connections that are essential to achieving excellent photographs.
While I hope to leave behind a comprehensive, moving and powerful body of work, ultimately I will measure my success by the relationships formed with models, artists, designers and clothing lines along the way. Because in the end, it’s all about the journey.
